This page is a placeholder and must be written before launch. It needs to say, plainly and in the first person: what is collected, why, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and how somebody asks for it to be deleted.
The honest version is short. Jalaja holds a phone number or an email because that is how an account is reached; a record of what has been watched, because that is what Continue Watching is; and a record of payments, because that is what a receipt is. Deleting an account removes the first two and keeps the third with the number masked, so the ledger stays whole without keeping anything personal.
Nothing here is final text. Have it checked against Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act before it ships.
